Pathology testing – from a routine complete haemogram to the identification and sensitivity testing of infectious pathogens and various types of serologic and immunodiagnostic tests – is at the core of these hi-tech procedures.
With over two decades of experience, we have grown from a fairly basic laboratory to a complex department processing a high volume of tests year after year using highly sophisticated instruments.
Also, a fledgling blood bank that supplied whole blood has now diversified into a component blood bank that generates blood fractions for our in-house needs as well as for patients in other hospitals and nursing homes.
With our world-class rating, our consultants, healthcare providers, in-patients as well as the external medical facilities and out-patients who use our facilities, receive the best pathologic services available in Mumbai today.
Our services are provided through full automation kept in check by regular calibration and controls employing standardised imported reagents and authorisation by qualified pathologists.
A cross-checking mechanism for result-checking while feeding, reporting and signing of reports is practised to obviate pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical errors to ensure that results with cent-per-cent accuracy reach patients.
We also use cross-checks with other city laboratories as well as the Bio-Rad External Quality Assurance Services (EQAS) to maintain a excellent record in biochemistry analyses.
Our Pathology Laboratory has an ISO: 9001: 2015 rating, which means we have been certified by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) for consistently delivering quality services in every specialty under our purview.
Accreditation to a laboratory is granted on the basis of its capability to perform tests / calibrations and provide accurate and reliable results.

Yet the demands on the Department of Pathology are considerable as the entire gamut of medical specialties depends on simple as well as complex pathology tests. In real terms, this translates into an average 34,500-odd tests performed every month, a task more than adequately executed by our dynamic pathologist and highly skilled technologists.
Located on the ground floor, our OPD Lab caters to out-patients on a walk-in basis and offers a broad spectrum of services. These include routine tests such as glucose, cholesterol, creatinine, a complete haemogram, routine stool and urine analysis to complex tests to identify cancer markers, immunoblots, HIV and DNA analysis.
To avail of our services, approach the OPD Lab on the ground floor and collect a requisition slip, which must be produced at the bank counter / cash counter. On payment of a fee, you will receive a receipt, which must be handed in at the lab. Our technicians will then instruct you on how and when to collect the sample required for testing.
Kindly note, the hospital caters to home visits on request.
The Reports Collection counter is located on the ground floor near the main entrance. Reports of tests done in-house are typically available the same day at 6 pm to 8 pm. Reports of outsourced tests are available on the stipulated date at the same counter. (For inquiries, dial Tel No: 022-30610333)
