Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai, uses advanced diagnostic techniques to assess your heart health and to detect cardiac disease or abnormalities in both adults and children.
To obtain high-precision results, we use high-end Echocardiogram testing (Philips Sonos 7500) so that your cardiologist is equipped with the latest cutting-edge tools for clinical evaluation.

1. 2D Echo With Colour Doppler
Popularly called a ‘sonography of the heart’, this is an ultrasound test administered by a cardiologist. It requires no special preparation, dietary or otherwise. This test is performed on both children and adults. More

2. Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
Popularly called ‘an endoscopy of the heart’ (although the endoscope does not enter your heart), a TEE provides more precise ultrasound images than a 2D Echo test. It may take up to 30-40 minutes and is administered under the supervision of a cardiologist. Special precautions are advised. It is also mandatory for a relative of the patient to be present throughout. More

3. Dobutamine Stress Echo
This test assesses how well your heart is holding up under stress and is a ‘substitute’ for a treadmill test. It is usually recommended for individuals who are obese, suffer from arthritis and who are not mobile for other reasons. Special precautions are advised. Administered under the supervision of a cardiologist, this test requires a relative of the patient to be present throughout. More

Out-Patient Services
Our department caters to both in-patients as well as out-patients. Out-patients are taken on appointment only. Appointments are taken over the telephone or in person between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, at least 24 hours in advance.

Reports: Reports will be available the day after your test. They may be collected from the Reports Collection counter from 8 am to 8 pm.
